Instructions
1. If you are unsatisfied with your role/group, you may trade/rearrange. Practice your persuasive argument skills. Know that you may be arguing for/against a stance you do not agree with: this is OKAY. It will help you stretch and learn to understand multiple opinions.
2. Work together as a team to come up with your opening statement, supporting points, and Possibly write notecards so that you can keep track of your points. If you want, feel free to make a powerpoint if you need to include images.
***Bonus points. You do not need to stick to traditional debate rules in one way: if you can, make a point by using:
-role play, props, "performance disruptions" or adopting a specific Stakeholder's perspective but make sure to still include 3-4 sources
3. We hold the debate! The President goes first (1-2 min--present your main argument/points without the evidence). The President from the opposing team goes next. The MVP goes next (3-4 minute presentation of evidence/facts to back up statements-uses 3-4 sources). The MVP from the opposing team is next. Finally, the ninja from each team responds accordingly.
4. The six members that are not debating all have a rubric they use to judge the debate
5. A conference is held with the rubrics in hand--points are added up--a winner is declared!
